The Campaign – new

The Campaign

Sight loss isn’t inevitable. But we need action to make sure people experiencing sight loss can always receive the right care at the right time.

We’re calling on The Department of Health and Social Care to work with NHS England to develop and implement a national strategy for eye care.

The plan should prioritise maximising capacity in eye care services to make sure people experiencing sight loss receive the right care at the right time. It would involve:

1.

Establishing leadership and accountability to transform eye care services.

2.

Prioritising eye health within the NHS service for recovery and transformation.

3.

Investing in data and digital transformation, the ophthalmology workforce and future research.

We’re working hard to support the NHS to reduce avoidable sight loss.
